Sheet flooring is a structural grade particleboard tongue and groove sheet, commonly used in domestic and commercial construction. It is particularly suited to domestic construction, where a platform construction method is adopted. The tongue colour relates to the thickness of the sheets; a yellow tongue refers to the 19 mm thickness, the 22 mm sheet has a red tongue, and the blue tongue identifies the 25 mm sheet. These sheets are weather protected, due to a hardwearing resin enriched surface. Sheets are also wax impregnated throughout to minimise moisture access. Sheet flooring can also be termite protected, which is a cost-effective long-term defence against termite damage. R-Flor is 19 mm particleboard flooring that has been improved to meet the demanding requirements for thermal comfort, energy efficiency and Green Star Ratings. These sheets are laminated with a metalized foil on the underside, dramatically reducing the heat transfer through the floor, overall improving the total R-Value of the flooring system. These sheets are also termite treated, to protect them from termite and fungal damage.
